We flew to D.C./Baltimore Wednesday night to visit my lovely sister-in-law and some lovely friends.
We also saw some lovely otters at the zoo.
I have a day of pure insanity at work ahead of me, so that’s it for now, but I couldn’t go another minute without sharing the otter photo.

I’ve seen river otters in the wild during canoe trips in the BWCA and I too was taken by them. They are so cute, floating along on their backs with their little paws up by their face!
I think my favorite animal though, is kittens. LURVE 6-8 week old kittens.
My very favorite animals are cats (of course), but they are followed closely by otters and lemurs (basically all the cat-like critters).
A loooooong time ago we went to the aquarium in Duluth, MN and I must’ve stared at the otters for an hour. They had a photo opportunity where you could stick your head into a wooden cutout of an otter, so your face was the otter’s, and that photo is still framed in our bedroom. Love otters.
I also love cats, Shorty (I’m still not feeling myself as a dog person, at least not for the entire species in general), koalas, dolphins and kangaroos.
Dolphins, polar bears, tigers. I’d love to be able to cuddle them all but obviously have not lost my mind.
